Get to Know Scott

Noblesville native Scott Baldwin is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with more than 25 years of military and law enforcement experience, an entrepreneur, husband and father of three. 

Scott served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was deployed during Operation Desert Storm. After his Marine service, Scott served as an officer with the Indiana Department of Corrections where he helped launch the first Special Emergency Response Team. 

He then served as a patrol officer, field training supervisor, and detective supervisor with the Indianapolis Police Department (IPD) for more than a decade where he earned two Medals of Bravery and a Medal of Valor. While at the IPD, Scott supervised or investigated hundreds of homicide, narcotics, robbery, sex crimes, missing persons, domestic, white collar and fraud investigations. He also served as a Spanish language translator and IPD liaison to the Hispanic Center.

During Operation Enduring Freedom, Scott volunteered to return to Afghanistan to assist Marine Corps personnel in identification and apprehension of high value, anti-coalition elements and narco-terrorists, forensic support, and case preparation.  He also volunteered his time as a reserve detective with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. 

Scott is a successful entrepreneur and business owner who has owned or helped grow several companies in the IT, real estate, construction and security sectors. He is the owner and President of Envoy, Inc., a construction and real estate development firm.

An active member of the community, Scott serves on the Hamilton County Health Board and Hamilton County Redevelopment Commission and is a former board member of Crime Stoppers and Riverview Hospital. Scott helped during the start-up and is a former board member of Food Rescue which provides meals to struggling families, and he remains passionate about addressing hunger and food insecurity. 

 Scott is a life member of the American Legion, the VFW and the NRA. He is also an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, and bow hunter.

Scott lives in Noblesville with his wife Jaime and their three children Grace, Luke and Elyse. They attend church at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church where Scott serves on the Parish Finance Council. Scott also volunteers as a youth football coach with the Catholic Youth Organization.
